1) Introduction- summarize the previous findings that are reported in the introduction. Comment on what conclusion (hypothesis) can be drawn from these studies. 2) Hypothesis- What is the authors' hypothesis? What predictions were they making and why did they make them? Why should we care. 3) Method- outline the GENERAL methods the experimenters used to gather their data. What were the strengths and weaknesses of their methodology? 1) Results- what did they find? summarize the results. Explain the graphs in Great detail (y-axis, x-axis) and give description as to what they are telling you. Demonstrate that you know the point of each graph and explain how each supports the authors' hypothesis. Clearly state what EACH graph is showing! 2) Discussion- how did the authors interpret thei results? Was their question answered? What questions remained unanswered? DO you think enough evidence was provided to support their hypothesis and to refute the alternative hypothesis? How does this research expand our understanding of motivation theory? why is it important? why is this research unimportant? Aruge both sides. 3) Comments... click for more

Nature vs Nurture & Vygotsky's Theory
How does Vygotsky's theory relate to the "nature vs nurture" debate? I understand that Vygotsky's theory places emphasis on both nature and nurture...and that he believed heredity (Nature) and dialogues (Nurture) with more expert members of society jointly contribute to development. Would it be fair of me to say that ....according to his theory a child may be raised to share certain beliefs and religious customs . However, when that child leaves home and is exposed to other dialogue (college classes) he or she may re-think his or her former beliefs and form new beliefs? Am I way off base here? Please advise.
