Different types of reasoning

What are the different types of reasoning? In what type of circumstance would you use inductive reasoning? Why? In what type of circumstance would you use deductive reasoning? Why is problem solving considered the highest level of mental activity? What makes an individual good at solving problems? Explain your answer. What do we mean when we describe brain activities as computational? How does that impact our descriptions of "mental" processes and problem solving? Why is problem solving considered the highest forms of brain functions?

Formal Operations is debated. It has been argued that some college students fail to achieve stage four. Given what you know about Piaget's Stages of Development, is it possible for a college student to have not achieved formal operations. Why or why not?
