If the current in the loop of the attachment were halved, the total flux threading the loop would.... 1) Halve 2) Be reduced to 1/4 of the previous value 3) Decrease to 3/4 of its original value 4) Decrease by more than 1/2 but greater than 1/4 its previous value.

Question: For an accelerating voltage of 900 V calculate the time taken for an electron to reach the anode after being accelerated from rest (u=0) at the cathode of a CRT. Anode -cathode separation is 1cm? Question: A wire carrying a current of 100 A due West in Australia is suspended between two towers 50 m apart. The lines of force of the Earth's magnetic field enter the ground there in a northerly direction at a 45 degree angle; the magnitude of the field is 5 multiplied by 10 minus 5 T. Find the magnitude and diretion of the force on the wire exerted by the Earth's field? (require a diagram where possible and answers)

Question: A wire carrying a current of 100 A due west in the southern hemisphere (Australia) is suspended between two towers 50 metres apart. The lines of force of the earth's magnetic field enter the ground there in a northerly direction at a 45 degree angle; the magnitude of the field is 5 mulitplied by 10 -5 T. Find the magnitude and direction of the force on the wire exerted by the earths field. I have asked this question twice before; the teacher says that theta in the workings out is 90 degrees and not 45 degrees so in that case could you provide me the workings out and answer for this.
