inductor/frequency

Hi. Can someone please help me with this conceptual question? "Consider a circuit consisting of a light bulb and an inductor. If the frequency of the generator is increased, does the intensity of the light bulb increase, decrease, or stay the same? Explain." Thank you.

RLC circuit

Hi. Can someone please walk me through how to do the following problem? "A radio tuning circuit contains an RLC circuit with R=5.0 ohms and L=2.8 micro-H. (a) What capacitance is needed to produce a resonance frequency of 95 MHz? (b) If the capacitance is increased above the value found in part (a), will the impedance increase, decrease, or stay the same? Explain. (c) Find the impedance of the circuit at resonance." Thank you.

RC circuit

Hi. Can someone please walk me through how to do the following problem? "An RC circuit consists of a resistor R = 32 ohms, a capacitor C = 2.5 micro-F, and an ac generator with an rms voltage of 120 V. At what frequency will the rms current in this circuit be 2.9 A? Thank you.

RL circuit

Hi. Can someone please help me with the following problem? "An ac generator with a frequency of 1.00 kHz and an rms voltage of 24 V is connected in series with a 2000 ohm resistor and a 0.365 H inductor. (a) what is the power factor for this circuit? (b) What is the average power consumed by this circuit?" Answers from back of book: (a) = 0.657 W ; (b) = 0.12 W (a) I don't understand what "power factor" means, or what equation to use to find it. I thought maybe it was P = I^2(Z), but that didn't get the right answer. For (b), I used Pav = (Irms)(Vrms)phi , but the answer I got is 9.27 W, not 0.12 W. Here's what I did: XL = (2)(pi)(1000)(0.365) = 2292 Z = sqrt of (R^2 + XL... click for more
