Determining the amount of water ionized in lighting.

Background: A strong lighting bolt transfers an electric charge of about 28 degree C to earth. The total electrons transferred in the process are 1.7478e20. (Assuming one mole of water has a mass of 17.9g/mol). Question: If each water molecule donates one electron, how much water (in units g) is ionized in the lighting?

Given a plot of I vs. T of 3 simple circuits. Resistor, an inductor, and a capacitator determine voltage power charge and number of electrons in each case

This is for 3 simple circuits (I am assuming DC circuits). The first has a single resistor. The second has a single inductor. The third has a single capacitator. I need to know how to determine voltage, power, charge, and number of electrons for each case given just a plot of I vs. T for each one. This is for a final exam and I have not done any of the work all quarter. Basiclly what I need here is a quick primer on how to do this problem. Pretty much I need to know specifically which equations to use for each and how to apply this. Since this is just for a final exam problem I will not need you to go very in depth, just main concepts for me to quickly do a simple problem that has to be easy... click for more

Determining what the associated electric field pattern would like given a plot of potential as a function of x.

Given a plot of potential (or an equipotential pattern for x, y) as a function of x (x means position) what would the associated electric pattern would look like? What is the relative magnitude and speed? In summary, if a plot of V(x) is given how do I sketch E(x) and find and describe the motion and do a qualitative evaluation at a few key points eg the max and at 0 etc.?

One electron atom, KE, PE, BE coulomb forces

Ok this is a simple final exam problem so it wont have much as far as detail. I need to know KE PE and BE for a one electron atom. I need to know the order of magnitude of coulomb forces work in this situation. and the magnetic field at the nucleus. And for the electron, I need to know the electric field created by it. I basiclly just did not do anything all quarter and need a quick primer on how to do this problem. Basiclly I just need enough info to do well on this problem on the exam so use your best judgement. Thanks
