The beam shown below is simply supported at its ends A an E. It carries a load (8 kN/M) that is uniformly distributed over part of the beam together with two concentrated loads (10kN/M & 12kN/M):
Using convenient scales, construct the shear force and bending moment diagrams for the beam and determine:
(a) The magnitude and direction of the maximum shear force.
