Etruscans or Greeks?

Hi, this question has resulted in a screaming match of our study group so we'd like a wiser, calmer, more educated mediator to help guide us...Thanks!!!

When you look at Ancient Roman history [from 200-BC to about 200 AD] what was the role of Greece and Greek culture to the Romans?  And, was the Etruscans or the Greeks more important to the Romans at this time?
