Artistic Themes from Ancient Cultures: Greece and Rome

I'm writing a paper on "Artistic Themes from Ancient Cultures: Greece and Rome which is due this Sunday. I need to prepare a 1050-1400-word paper exploring a topic from one of the following themes as they relate to the Ancient Cultures through early Greek and Roman times: the purpose of human life, free will and destiny, suffering, striving for perfection, gender roles, religious expression, love, sex, understanding of wealth, or work.  Determine how the theme is reflected in the cultural and world developments from each time period.  The paper must compare and contrast the development of the theme within each of the historical periods listed while relating past attitudes to modern ones.
