More questions on the unisured population in America

What has been happening with health insurance premium costs in relationship to workers earnings? What are the average premium costs for covered workers and how much of those cost did high and low income workers have to pay? What actions have the states been taking in attempting to balance their budgets? Does the public generally support expanding coverage for the uninsured? What stategies have they supported and why hasn't there been any single strategy adopted? What are the major challenges for the future regarding coverage for the uninsured and how likely is it that one will be adopted soon and why?

The burnt-out nurses as an aggregate

Given you have an aggregate of nurses that are burnt-out at work. How would you plan for a coalition/partnership program development? And what would be the most important areas of cost effectiveness for the aggregate program you're developing? Thank you.

Effluent in man made lake???

A Wastewater Treatment Plant has a very decent treatment system and produces an effluent that has low bacterial numbers usually ranging from 10-100 fecal coliforms/mL. There has been a request to allow the treated effluent to be used to fill a nearby pond (this pond is there just for asthetics- no fishing or boating) as the pond leaks a lot and would require consistent filling. With the treatment plant close by it would be simple to pump the treated effluent into the pond on that continual basis. There has been promise that no swimming will be allowed and signs will be posted. Should a environmental health officer/public health inspector have concerns with this idea and whether or not th... click for more

Hydrotherapy tub- Article review

I have read this artcile (see attached file) and have come up with a few points where I agree with the author and a few points where I disagree... ie cleaning of Hydrotherapy tubs is a complex process... why use cold water wouldn't hot water make more sense and so on. I was to crtically review this paper and identify points that are good and points that are bad (some points as presented by the authors might be wrong, inaccurate, inappropriate or not substantiated); e.g., are the concerns valid? Are the recommendations logical/reasonable? Is the background information accurate, etc.? I am also to use other referenced articles/resources/publications to support my opinion/comments, i.e.,... click for more

Hydrotherapy tub- science

I am critically reviewing an article about hydrotherapy tubs and their possible effects on the patients and staff who operate them. I need to find 2 scientific flaws and prove how the flaws are inaccurate with references/ I am curious about some of the statements the authors made. They suggest that the water testing completed at least every seven days... is at least every 7 days too long? Could harmful bacteria (especially hardy ones that could survive the disinfection process (as mentioned in the article) propagate? Can Pseudomonas aeruginosa grow faster then the seven days? Furthermore, the authors suggests that the samples be taken in the morning after complete disinfection... is t... click for more
