You decided to post the following provocative statement on your website this week for discussion, "In a market economy, food flows in the direction on economic demand. Need is not taken into consideration. To illustrate, in the event that there are hungry cats and hungry children, the food will go to the cats if the owners of the cats have money and the children's parents don't." I am confused as to what this is asking?? Is is asking about food security, global issues?? I am assuming that it is asking about the levels of food security and how/why it affects the world in which we live

Define the Demographic Transition
1. Define Demographic Transition and describe the four phases. Is the population stable, growing, or declining in each of the four phases? According to demographers, what factors led to a decline in the CDR and a decline in the CBR? 2. Briefly describe living conditions and environmental impacts in developed countries that have Phase IV in contrast to these conditions or impacts in developing countries that remain in earlier phases. 3. If Phase IV of the Demographic Transition is a goal for developing countries, what programs or initiatives might assist in progress toward this goal?

There are many superfund sites in the U.S. and some of you may be surprised to learn that there is probably a superfund site located very close to where you live and you were not even aware of it. 1. Define what a superfund site is. 2. Identify a superfund site within your own state. (A superfund site is NOT a website-it’s an actual location with high levels of pollution) 3. Give some background information on the site and the proposed plans to deal with this site. Where is the problem? What is the contamination? Who created this problem? Why What is the contamination? Who created this problem? Why? How will they clean it up?
