I need some ideas and help for an Comparison Essay I have to write

I am stuck on a paper I have to write in my Freshmen College English class. The topic of the paper is as follows: Compage/Contrast at least ne element of fiction in at least stories. You can choose ither formal element- such as setting, characters, narrator, or plot- or a theme, such as adolenscence or black people's social position in 20th southern society. The 2 stories I have chosen to write on is "Sweat" by Zora Hurston and "Everyday Use" by Alice Walker.
