Proving two signals are orthogonal

I'm not sure how to code the second signal in MATLAB. Do I use the 'ones' command?? Suppose we had two functions: (See attached) How would you show that these two functions are orthogonal using MATLAB? Also, verify that these two functions are orthogonal analytically: i.e., sketch the functions, their product and find the integral of their product.

Comparing Error probabilities with BPSK and QPSK systems

A BPSK system and a QPSK system are designed to transmit at equal rates; that is, two bits are transmitted with the BPSK system for each phase in the QPSK system. Compare their symbol error probabilities versus SNR.
