Writing essays at certificate and diploma level

I am undertaking a course of study leading to a certificate in 'Tutor Training in Adult Literacy' at Waterford Institute of Technology, in Ireland. I would appreciate guidelines on essay writing and project work at this level. Last term I did a pilot module at Diploma level called Family Learning in the same course at and would appreciate guidelines at this level also. Is there a difference in the guidelines at the varying levels. It is a matter of pride to me to do my best and I cannot distinguish the difference of work required.

I need to compare 2 classes to whom I have taught Psy 101

I need a statistical analysis of a research project given to me by the Academic dean. I am doing a two tailed t-test of two classes taught. One class of 46 students had Psy 101 and had a raw mean GPA score of 71.4. A second class has prerequsite study skills prior to taking PSY 101 and the raw mean GPA score of 76.4. I need the statistical analysis at a .05 level of significance to accept or reject the null hypothesis (there is no statistical difference between both classes: fail to reject).
