Proving a problem is NP - complete by reduction from Vertex-cover.

Please see the attachment below for the complete question.

We need to prove that the problem is NP -complete by reduction from Vertex-cover.
Problem :- Given a collection of sets { S1, S2 ,..., Sn} and a positive integer K. Does there exist a set T with at most K elements such that  T disjoint Si not-equalto empty , 1<=i<=n  ?

[we can use the edges in graph  to create the sets in the collection ]

Electric field magnitude - Charge is uniformly distributed around a ring of radius R= 2.40 cm and the resulting electric field magnitude E is measured along the ring's central axis ( perpendicular to the plane of the ring). At what distance from the ring's center is E maximum? In this question, I end up with E(total) = (q * z) / 4*Pi * e * (R^2 + z^2)^3/2 where e is the permittivity constan...
Physics - Electric Fields - Two Large metal plates of area 1.0m^2 face each other. They are 5.0 cm apart and have equal but opposite charges on their inner surfaces. If the magnitude E of the electric field between the plates is 55 N/C, what is the magnitude of the charge on each plate? Neglect edge effects.
electric field - An alpha particle (the nucleus of a helium atom) has a mass of 6.64x10-27kg and a charge of +2e. What are the (a)magnitude and (b)direction of the electric field that will balance the gravitational force on the particle? I need to know the step by step setup and answer for this problem given the above information. thank you
A charge isolated metal aphere of diameter - A charge isolated metal sphere of diameter 10cm has a potential of 8000 V relative to V=0 at infinity. Calculate the energy density in the elecrtic field near the surface of the sphere?
Calculating Capacitance of a Spherical Capacitor - The problem states: The plates of a spherical capacitor have radii 38.0 mm and 40.0 mm. (a) Calculate the capacitance. (b) What must be the plate area of a parallel-plate capacitor with the same plate separation and capacitance? Please review my solution below and correct me where I am may be wrong, explaining any concepts I may be misunde...
