I am having a problem forming Ionic compounds. I have been given a list of elements. Na B N Ca Li Ne P Al SO4 Pb(II) NO3 Cu(I) etc.. Rules: Each compond can only contain two different ions. You can have multiples of each element. Formulas must represent the simplest whole number ratio between the adams of the elements. I don't remember how we did this. If you could show me how to do a couple these, it would help.

Formalin/Formaldehyde To whom it may concern, I was asked to figure out how to take instantaneous formalin readings in a medical laboratory that conducts biopsies (there are actually quite a few areas in the lab where formalin is utilized) - how to best measure the ceiling levels of formalin. We are currently using wonderful "gastec" color coded tubes to measure the levels of formalin. We are wondering if there is a better way to obtain a more accurate measurement. From what I have been told, the problem with instantaneous readings of formalin is that methanol interferes, therefore when readings are taken; the methanol interacts with the Formalin, causing the results to not tru... click for more

General Science-Inquiry and Problem Solving
Someone hads you an object that you have never seen before. Explain how you would identify it. Explain how inquiry and problem solving might determine what the object is. Identify the kinds of info you would expect to uncover using inquiry and problem solving. Explain hoiw the work of other scientist will help you.
