In regards to top-down versus bottom-up budgeting in the newsgroup. There are advantages as well as disadvantages to both. As is often the case, a hybrid of the two may be most effective, but the dilemma is that this can turn into a time consuming negotiation between upper management and field management. Project Management

I know that learning the mechanics of the software in regards to project management that it must relate to sound project management principals. For example, one cannot simply link all the tasks in a project and let it go at that. The affect that each link will have on the project schedule must be considered. Can you please explain when might you chose one type of relationship over the other and how would it affect the project schedule? Also would you please give me one example of another link relationship and how it might be used.
