In another year, after all projects are completed, you plan to convert back to a volunteer basis with AllTechComm, and to find more profitable employment, preferably with a major corporation. You are at an IT networking group meeting and the discussion turns to technologies that are still in use today, but evolved from their original form. One example is the OSI model. Typical financial statement fraud techniques involved the overstatement of revenues and assets. Over half the frauds involved overstating revenues by recording revenues prematurely or fictitiously. Many of those revenue frauds only affected transactions recorded right at period end (i.e., quarter end or year end). About half the frauds also involved overstating assets by understating allowances for receivables, overstating the value of inventory, property, plant and equipment, tangible assets, and recording assets that did not exist.

Create a network diagram

Create a network diagram that represents the local area network at the main location as it currently is set up. Include the network hardware used to connect the network segments, as well as the servers and workstations. After completing the diagram, write a brief 1-2 page report describing the key areas of the diagram that your boss would like to have you explain to him, including: the router used to connect the Ethernet and Token Ring Network Topologies, the use of the servers and their location. Objective: Demonstrate how networks are linked, explain cable types and issues in selecting network hardware
